Parkinson's disease takes a toll on daily life. It affects simple tasks like walking around the block, buttoning a shirt and zippering a jacket. It also can have a severe financial impact, especially in those patients with little to no insurance or savings. Some surveys estimate that Parkinson's can cost a family upwards of $30,000 per year. If insurance pays for prescription costs and doctor visits, it may not cover visits to a nutritionist or the cost of a walker. Doctors may recommend exercise classes but your budget may not be able to afford the cost of those classes.

Improving quality of life can mean offering financial assistance to those Parkinsonians in need. Sometimes it means helping patients find transportation to their appointments, in-home care, exercise studios and local support groups.

The Promises Cares program wants to help you live fully with Parkinson's. If you are in need of financial support, filling out this simple application for assistance may help you. Our team will promptly review your application and let you know how we can help.
